Tap Kids

God knows me. Jesus loves me. The Holy Spirit leads me. I am a child of God.

Our children’s ministry, known as Tap Kids, embraces these values that are woven throughout the Wonder Ink curriculum that we use in our Sunday School classes. All children learn and engage with the same Bible story each week, making it easier for the whole family to engage in conversation about the lesson beyond Sunday morning. Wonder@Home Series take home papers are available at the Tap Kids table. These give an overview of each series of lessons and contains the memory verse, family discussion questions and spiritual practices and more.

Sunday Worship & Tap Kids

Children are an essential part of the body of Christ. On Sunday mornings, families stay together in the sanctuary for worship and announcements before the children are invited up front for a short kid’s message.

After the message, the children in Nursery (ages 0-2) and Preschool (ages 3-4) go to their classrooms downstairs. Children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 make their way to the Red Room for Large Group Time which includes a game, illustration or experiment, prayer, Bible storytelling and memory verse practice and recital.

After 20 minutes or so, children in Grades 3-5 go to the Blue Room just down the hall for small group time while children in Kindergarten through Grade 2 stay in the Red Room for the same. Small group time may include sharing, praying, discussion, games and crafts. On a sunny day, the children may be spotted playing at the playground, drawing with sidewalk chalk or enjoying a game outside.

Children return to the sanctuary after the sermon and are welcomed to take communion with their parents.

Tap Kids Camp

One highlight in the summer for the Children’s ministry is the Tap Kids Camp. The week-long camp is filled with fun games, creative crafts, active worship and engaging Bible stories. Kids make new friends and discover God’s story in their lives.
