Small Groups

“I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God.” Colossians 2:2

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.” Acts 2:42-45

We were not meant to take our journey of faith alone but with community. Growing in Christ requires growing together with other Christians.

Our small groups are communities of Christians who meet regularly in order to grow deeper in our love and discipleship to Christ. We help one another grow in love and concern of others, build appropriate interdependence and strive to honour and love God by loving one another well. We share stories, study scripture, eat together, pray together and serve in missional causes together.

In a world full of strangers, estranged from their own past, culture and country, from their neighbours, friends and family, from their deepest self and their God, we witness a painful search for a hospitable place where life can be lived without fear and where community can be found.” - Henri Nouwen

WE FORM SMALL GROUPS BASED ON...

PROXIMITY: Our groups are formed according to geography. We value building community close to the neighbourhoods that we live in.

DIVERSITY: Our groups are not formed according to affinity, but are intergenerational and ethnically diverse. We value learning from people from all cultures, backgrounds and stages of life.

INTENTIONALITY: Our groups meet at days and times and locations that work for all its members. We value mutual decision making that best enables people to participate without barriers.
