Our team provides hospitality, which includes snacks, a grazing table, and coffee, so that everyone can enjoy a time of fellowship after the Sunday Service.

At our church, the Hospitality Team—fondly known as Tap Hop—is dedicated to creating a welcoming and warm environment for everyone. Our team works diligently behind the scenes to prepare a beautiful table that awaits you after the service. We set up a delightful spread of food, greet everyone as they arrive, and ensure that the space feels inviting for community fellowship.

What We Do

  • Early Start: On Sundays, we begin our day at around 9:00 AM, starting with the essential task of making coffee. It’s our first step in setting the stage for a day of connection and community.

  • Preparation: Before the service, we gather and prepare a variety of dishes. Items are collectively brought by team members. We then organize and arrange everything so that the food is beautifully displayed once the service ends.

  • Service and Clean-Up: After the benediction, we serve snacks—starting with the children—to ensure that everyone feels cared for. Following the service, we also take on the responsibility of cleaning up, making sure the space remains tidy and welcoming.

Our Story

Our passion for hospitality was inspired by experiences visiting churches where the warmth of community wasn’t always evident. We wanted to build a church where every visitor feels greeted, cherished, and encouraged to connect through shared meals. For many of us, joining Tap Hop has been a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, learn their names, and build meaningful relationships. Tap Hop is also multi-generational, involving people from seniors to youth.

Being part of the Hospitality Team is about more than just serving food—it’s about creating a space where cultures can blend, connections can form, and the love of Christ is practically demonstrated through service. It’s a fun and enriching experience that brings us together both in and out of the kitchen. The team also prepares a focused menu for special events like the Tapestry Mundy Park anniversary, Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and the Lunar New Year.

Serve

We are looking for new volunteers!  Do you have a passion for serving, making delicious food, and want to help? Join us!

  • The first friendly face to greet everyone. Greeters welcome guests and old-timers alike with smiles and a copy of the week’s bulletin.

  • From cutting, to plating, to serving and cleaning up, volunteers can be scheduled once or twice a month.

  • Tap Hop members are encouraged to bake something, bring an appetizer, or fruits and veggies to fill out the Tap Hop graze table.

  • Pray for the love of Christ to be experienced through the food and hospitality offered each Sunday.
