Pat is married to Peter and together they have three children and six grandchildren. Pat retired in 2019 from her role as the executive director of SFU Childcare. In that role she received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education, the SFU Staff Leadership Award and was designated A Master Leader by the international magazine Childhood Exchange. In her church life, Pat has served as an elder, chair of council and chair of the leadership team in different churches.
